Trastornos musculo esqueléticos en trabajadores de una empresa de tabaco, La Habana, 2008.

Resumen

Estudio transversal en trabajadores de industria de Tabaco, donde ejecutan trabajos con carga física, para determinar la prevalencia de los trastornos musculo esqueléticos, las patologías que  los afectan y sus efectos a la actividad productiva; en un universo de 837 trabajadores. Se obtuvieron los datos de  registros de atenciones, certificados médicos y  peritajes médicos laborales; fueron analizados con estadística simple y el programa EpiInfo v.6 Statcalc. Los trastornos musculoesqueléticos fueron la primera causa de enfermedad en estos trabajadores, las más frecuentes: lumbalgias, tendinitis y cervicalgias. Se identificaron 131 trabajadores con patologías musculo esqueléticas con prevalencia de 15.6 y el departamento Torcido con más  trabajadores afectados (RR 3.02  IC 95%) y mayor afectación productiva de causa médica. Cinco trabajadores recibieron tratamiento quirúrgico y seis fueron incapacitados permanentes de esa actividad laboral. Se evidenció la necesidad de cambiar  el diseño del puesto de trabajo.

Abstract 

The study traverse in workers of industry of Tobacco, where they execute works with load physics, to determine the prevalence of the skeletal dysfunctions muscle, the pathologies that affect them and their effects to the productive activity; in an universe of 837 workers. The data of registrations of attentions, medical certificates and labor medical parities were obtained; they were analyzed with simple statistic and the program EpiInfo v.6 Statcalc. The dysfunctions muscular esquelétis were the first illness cause in these workers, the most frequent: lumbalgias, tendinitis and cervicalgias. 131 workers were identified with skeletal pathologies muscle with prevalence of 15.6 and the Bent department with more hard-working affected (RR 3.02 IC 95%) and bigger productive affectation of cause doctor. Five workers received surgical treatment and six they were disabled permanent of that labor activity. The necessity was evidenced of changing the design of the work position.
